Diagnostic Technology

All of Laser Vision London’s diagnostic instruments provide rich data and information about your eyes and are essential to achieve the best possible outcomes for your procedure. Our state-of-the-art centre is equipped with only the best.

Carefully curated and handpicked by our surgeons, each instrument is considered the “Gold Standard” in its field to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients while providing thorough information for planning and executing your procedure to the highest standard.

ATLAS® 9000 Corneal Topographer

The ATLAS® 9000 Corneal Topographer provides both qualitative and quantitative information about the entire cornea. This ‘mapping’ of the cornea is critical in both routine and complex cataract assessments, refractive surgery planning, corneal pathology screening, and setting patient expectations post-surgery.

iTRACE™ Wavefront Aberrometer and CT

The iTrace™ allows the surgeons to “see what the patient sees” by providing a total quality of vision assessment. This novel device offers highly accurate information by identifying the origin of aberrations (i.e., cornea or lens). This provides a better understanding of patient’s vision and the structures affecting it therefore increasing the confidence for your custom treatment plan.

LENSTAR LS900® with Tcone Optical Biometer and keratometer

The LENSTAR LS 900® provides highly accurate laser optic measurements for every section of the eye (from the cornea to the retina). These measurements are critical for the selection of the correct IOL power to achieve superior refractive outcomes in cataract surgery. The LENSTAR LS 900® offers the best technology in IOL calculations and provides surgeons with the upmost confidence as the optimal planning platform for toric and premium IOLs.

CIRRUS™ 5000 OCT with Anterior Segment Premier (ASP) Optical coherence tomography

A proper retinal evaluation pre-surgery is imperative to prevent any visual surprises post-surgery. An optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan will lead to greater patient outcomes by providing high resolution images of the retina. The CIRRUS™ HD-OCT includes anterior imaging of the eye and provides valuable thickness measurements of the cornea.

PENTACAM® HR Corneal Tomography

The Pentacam® HR provides three-dimensional images of the entire anterior eye segment. The high-resolution images and precise measurements from the Pentacam® HR help surgeons identify any concerns with the cornea and substantiates surgical planning. This is a vital instrument for complex cases.

WaveLight® TOPOLYZER® Vario Corneal topography

The WaveLight® TOPOLYZER® Vario is an integrated corneal imaging system that provides precise measurements for personalized treatments.

VERION™ Image Guided System

The VERION™ Image Guided System captures high-resolution images and performs key diagnostic measurements for cataract surgery. Designed to improve accuracy and reduce potential for error, the VERION™ Image Guided System provides a “fingerprint of the eye” and acts as a guide throughout the cataract procedure. VERION™ helps surgeons customize and perform a procedure tailored specifically for each patient.
